The Gulag History Museum’s exhibition, 'Museum Case: Siberia', tells the story of seven museums' repressed employees in Yeniseysk, Kansk, Krasnoyarsk, Minusinsk, Novosibirsk, Omsk and Tomsk. As Siberia was a traditional destination for political exiles in both the Russian Empire and the Soviet Union, it was home to many educated and talented individuals. Some of these individuals are the protagonists of the exhibition, who worked in Siberian museums during the 1920s and 1930s.
